Daisies and Pictures

So, I've had an awful cold this past week. Stuffy, Vick's Vapor rub, and Dayquil. Whenever I have a bad cold I always think of "You've Got Mail" and when Tom Hanks brings her daisies...it's one of my favorite movies :). So then the other day my sweet Tyler asked me to come to our campus coffee shop, Joe's, real quick after my class. All I wanted to do is go to bed and breath again..but was excited to see him. Then he made me close my eyes, I get so embarrassed in front of people, but this was just perfect! He pulled yellow daisies from behind the counter! Yay! Just like the movie, "they are such happy flowers!"
To make my sick day even better he topped it off by surprising me with a new picture of us in a frame on my desk and a sweet letter in my mail box :) It was basically the best sick day ever! (Sorry for the sappy love stories...just had to post about this day!)

Near the End

Three weeks from now my friends and I will be sitting in desks, or a TV studio, doing our finals and only thinking about summer. With these next weeks being super busy, Tyler and I thought it would be fun to go out with friends, get dressed up, eat dessert, and dance.
Let me start with last Thursday night...
Tyler and I needed to find some clothes for this outing! We went to H and M, Filene's Basement, Marshall's, Urban Outfitters, Macy's, and Target to find a tie and/or suspenders that would match my jewelry. Needless to say we did not find any of it at any of these places that night. Lucky for us we like to shop:) Especially for hats (Tyler) and bags (me). So after many, many hours of walking we went back to campus without anything. So, Friday night, with two hours before all the stores close, we back out and found a tie, suspenders, and a white button up shirt for him!! Success!

Come Saturday night we all looked so fancy! We went to the Drake Hotel in downtown Chicago and got dessert, coffee, a cheese plate, and dance to a fantastic jazz band!

The Jazz band's lead singer, Jordan was so nice! If you looked around the room it was the 12 of us young people surrounded by a whole lot of rich, old people. She soon asked us why we were there. To which our friend Nick replied, "Oh, just to be here." Then she asked him how old he was and he said, "I'm 21." She didn't believe him..ha! Soon after jazz turned into some Katy Perry, Black Eyed Peas, and Mo Town! We had a blast...and I think most of the old people did too!
It was the perfect de-stresser and we all needed it!
Now back to normal life:)
